Not only does that not make sense but if it did, we are in for some serious problems. Why stop with unborn children? There are plenty out there that are starving or living with illnesses, so why not apply "The hard cold reality" and "love children enough to not want them to suffer the kind of real life scenarios" and murder them too?
Clearly, it does not make sense to kill someone simply because you think it will stop them from suffering. I can imagine no pain greater than death.
And it's the mentality of abortion that leads to those other ills. When a baby is disposable, is it any wonder that children are?
If the consequences of rampant sex are quashed because the couple can abort "the evidence" then is it any wonder that men take advantage of women, that women will do anything to try to hold onto a man, that children are seen as a burden?
Abortion is the cause of all those things, not the cure.
